Catskill Mountains, New York Winter Wedding || Amanda + Dave
Right off the bat, Amanda + Dave and I hit it off SO well. We bonded over our love of travel, of all things food, of the endless amount of dogs to pat. You could say it was a match made in heaven. And when they told me they were having their wintry wedding only four months after their engagement (they had a pretty sweet engagement session on The High Line in NYC too), I honestly didn’t know how they were going to pull it off. They had BIG plans. A LOT of guests. But four months rolled around, and I couldn’t have been more impressed by how they quick they got it together.
On their frigid February wedding morning we made our way along the winding Catskill roads to Full Moon Resort, snowflakes falling softly and when we got there the temperature was in the teens.
These florals from Edgewood Flower Farm were just so unbelievably gorgeous and unique too! AND they’re organic and sustainably grow too!
Nervously waiting to walk down the aisle. A few snowflakes falling outside.
And just like that, they’re married! Dave was (literally) jumping for joy!
They were absolutely determined to have an epic photo session despite the frigid temperatures. There were chunks of ice floating down the river. We were shaking and fingers were numb, but they made it look like it was a warm summer day. We took lots of breaks for deep breaths and shivering. They were serious troopers about it, and even when I wanted to keep going for a few minutes more they were down for anything!
Amanda’s dad made his special recipe of roasted nuts for each of the guests and even made custom copper centerpieces for every table!
And just like that, the ceremony was over and it was PARTY TIME.
Biggest group photo EVER!
